End User License Agreement
Last updated: 2026-10-17
In short
- You buy it once per platform. One purchase, no subscription, covers ChartRip on the platform and Store you bought it from. A purchase from one Store does not license ChartRip on another platform; there you buy it separately.
- Your music stays yours. ChartRip only rearranges PDFs you give it, on your device. You are responsible for having the right to use them.
- Check the results. Part detection is a best guess. Look over your parts before a rehearsal or performance.
- The app is provided "as is." See below for the limits on liability.
1. Agreement
This agreement is between you and The Vatic Group, Incorporated ("we", "us", the "Licensor"). It covers the ChartRip app and any updates we provide (the "App"). By downloading or using the App you accept it. If you do not accept it, do not use the App. This agreement is between you and us only, not between you and Apple, Google, Microsoft or any other store (the "Store").
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, as allowed by the Store's usage rules. The App is licensed, not sold.
The license covers the version of the App for the platform and Store you bought it from. Buying the App from one Store does not give you a license to the App on any other platform or from any other Store; each is a separate purchase and a separate license.
3. Restrictions
You may not, except where the law allows it despite this restriction:
- copy, modify or create derivative works of the App;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App;
- rent, lease, sell, sublicense or distribute the App;
- remove copyright or other notices from the App.
4. Your files
ChartRip works on PDFs you choose and saves new PDFs only where you choose. Your original files are never changed. You keep all rights in your files. Sheet music is often protected by copyright: you are responsible for having the right to copy and split the music you process, and for following the terms of the publisher or rights holder. ChartRip contains and distributes no sheet music.
5. Ownership
The App, its name and its icon belong to us. This agreement gives you a license to use the App and no ownership of it. The App includes third-party software under its own licenses; see the open-source notices below and in the App. ChartRip is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any other product it mentions. Product names belong to their owners.
6. Privacy
How the App treats your data is described in the Privacy Statement, which is part of the App. In short: ChartRip collects no data and makes no network connections.
7. Updates
We may update the App to fix problems or add features. Updates are delivered through the Store. We do not promise any particular feature, update schedule or support level.
8. No warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults and without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that the App will be error-free, that it will find every part correctly, or that it will work with every PDF. Detected parts may be wrong; you are responsible for checking them.
9. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or missed performances, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.
10. Termination
This agreement lasts until it ends. It ends automatically if you break it. When it ends, stop using the App and delete your copies.
11. Store terms
- Apple. This agreement is between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the App and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. If the App fails to meet a warranty that applies, you may tell Apple to refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App. We, not Apple, handle any claims about the App, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and consumer protection. If a third party claims the App infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and resolving that claim. You confirm that you are not in a country under a U.S. embargo or listed as a restricted party, and that you will follow applicable third-party terms when using the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you once you accept it.
- Google and Microsoft. This agreement is between you and us, not Google or Microsoft, who are not responsible for the App or for supporting it. Your purchase, refunds and billing are handled by the Store under its own terms.
12. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, except where the law of the place where you live requires otherwise.
13. Changes
If we change this agreement, the date above changes. Changes apply to versions of the App released after that date.
