Reporting a problem

The most useful report says what kind of chart it was and what went wrong:

Please do not send copyrighted sheet music. A description, or a single anonymised page, is plenty.

Frequently asked questions

Does ChartRip send my music anywhere?

No. ChartRip works entirely offline and collects no data. Your PDFs are processed on your device. See the privacy statement.

Did ChartRip find the right parts?

Part detection is a best guess. Parts it is unsure about are flagged so you can check them, and you can rename a part or change its pages (for example 1-3, 7) at any time. Always look over your parts before a rehearsal or performance.

It struggled with a scanned PDF.

Scans are read with on-device text recognition, which can occasionally miss a label or misread a small Roman numeral. Use the page editor to fix the affected part, and tell us about the chart if you can.

How do I read my part?

Switch to Perform mode, open a chart or a set list, and ChartRip shows your part full screen. Turn pages with a tap, and the music carries on into the next chart.

Can I use my parts in another app?

Yes. Export your parts to a folder you choose, then open the PDFs in any app that reads PDF files.

Will it overwrite my files?

No. Your original PDF is never changed, and exported files are never overwritten; a name clash gets a number, such as "(2)".

Where do I get a refund, or manage my purchase?

ChartRip is a one-time purchase on each platform, handled entirely by the App Store. A purchase from the App Store doesn't cover ChartRip on other platforms. Refunds and billing questions go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do I remove my data?

Remove charts from your library inside the app, or delete the app, which removes everything it stored. Nothing is held anywhere else.
